Provincial Colours Points 2013

Please note that as per decision at the previous CGJ meeting, the following applies for Provincial Colours Points for 2013 year.

As from 1 July 2012: Players need to achieve 18 points or more to be awarded Central Gauteng Judo Provincial Colours.  The CGJ year runs from 1 July to 30 June, including the SA Open.

The events where points towards colours can be earned are as follows:

2012

1 point – Champ of Champs – 28 July

1 point – CGJ Development Tournament – 25 Aug

2 points – Masakhane – 22 Sep

1 point – Champ of Champs – 13 Oct

1 point – RRE – 27 Oct

2013

1 point – Champ of Champs – Feb 2013

2 point – Masakhane – Feb 2013

1 point – Champ of Champs – Mar 2013

1 point – RRE – Mar 2013

1 point – Champ of Champs – Apr 2013

1 point – RRE – Jun 2013

1 point – SA Open participation – Jun 2013

2 points – SA Open Teams – Jun 2013

Medallists at SA open – (gold 5 points, silver 4 points, bronze 3 points)

Excellence scroll:

Exceptional players that accumulate 36 or more points over 2 years or 24 points over 1 year will be awarded a special Excellence Scroll along with their Provincial Colours.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Trent Chipps who upgraded to National B Referee and Nikita Roscher who upgraded to National C Referee.

Upgrading of Local & Provincial Referees.

Upgrading of Local & Provincial Referees will take place at our next Tournament on the 25th August. The Development Tournament in the morning and Trials in the afternoon.

If you would like to apply for upgrade , please send your name through to me by 5pm , Monday , 22 August.

Then on the day of the Tournament you need to bring :
- Your Judo Record Book
- Your Referee Card
- Passport photo
- I will also need your ID number
- You will ofcourse need to be correctly dressed

28 August – Tournament & Trials

From the attached flyer you will see that if you work from 8am to the end of the Trials and you are correctly dressed, you will be paid R200 by Central Gauteng.

You need to send your name through to me by Monday, 22 August.

URGENT – SA CLOSED….Entries Close 20 August 2012

Players cannot enter the SA Schools Trials on the day – they must be pre-entered before the cut off date after approval from their club coach. 

Players must pre-enter directly with the province – this is not done through the club

Entries and payments must be submitted to CGJ by 12pm midnight on Monday, 20 August 2012

No cellphones on the mat. No chewing gum on the mat. No wrestling on the mat.

We are the NO. 1 Province in the counrty – let’s strive for excellence in ALL areas - in refereeing too !
